Georgia On My Mind - So Are Fish

I was in Atlanta this week. It's been awhile. But several things about Georgia's largest city never change. Traffic is awful, directions confusing, and half the street titles contain the word "peach."

But a good thing about this city once burned to the ground by Union solders (no hard feelings) is the Georgia Aquarium. Folks, in a word, 'amazing.' For marine enthusiasts or those who's fish encounters are limited to Mrs. Paul's, this sea is a must see. As the world's largest man made water habitat, the Georgia Aquarium has:

8 million gallons of water

10,000 fishes - including the worlds largest, whale sharks at 40 feet long.

Gift shops, meeting rooms, banquet facilities (wonder if they serve seafood?).

It even has a wedding and reception area. Personally, I feel hammerhead sharks aren't inductive to romance but that's just me.

Be sure to read my report and travel piece, coming soon in a local magazine.
